Begonias Begonia accept a sunny spot, but a sheltered site is necessary, hardiness zone 9-11.
Canna (Indian Shot Plant), for a sunny spot and moist soil. Needs regular manure. Height from 40 cm. up to 200 cm. Striking summer flowering plants for the border but also “hot” in containers on terrace or balcony. For early flowering: plant them in February/March in containers in the greenhouse. Unless otherwise stated: green foliage. The foliage is now a days very popular in Holland for flower-arranging, hardiness zone 9-11.
Dahlia needs no introduction. Well known, not hardy, plants for bedding, potting and as a cut flower. Pinch out the growing points once, to encourage bushiness. The tubers are frost tender and need to be stored in frost free circumstances in winter. Hardiness zone 8-10.
Iris In this season we only offer the perennial irises, flowering in May/July. Hardiness zones 5 - 8, what means hardy in most parts of Europe.
Lilium/lilies All offered lilies needs rather deep planting and they like a groundcover to protect the roots against sunburn. Excellent plants for the mixed border. All lilies are hardy in hardiness zone 5 and higher.
Oxalis genus of NOT hardy bulbs and corms, height 15 - 25 cm., flowering from June on, very suitable for potting or the rock garden, size I, hardiness zone 7-9.
